The Importance of HIV Testing in Blood Banking

From 1985 to NAP, so nucleic acid testing was also implemented. That was implemented in 99, but between 85 and 1999, there were only 49 transfusion transmitted HIV cases. So it did make a huge difference. But with that, the last reported case I was able to find since 99 was in 2008 of a transfusion transmitted case in Colorado.
