Since the commons, the open fields were also sort of public space in the sense that they allowed encounters among these users of public space. Women and children also found in them, spaces to socialize and interact. That would, of course, disappear when enclosure came and closed all these spaces, right? So, yeah. And as I said, this large-scale, long-term economic and social project, including this strategy of dispossession, was connected to the transformation of space.
