The Theology of Romans
Paul says this, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures concerning his son. Richard Hayes actually argues, and I think convincingly, there's a comma after scriptures in most translations. Romans is the most saturated with citations and illusions to the Old Testament. So the whole of the theology of Romans is rooted in Paul's understanding of the authoritative nature of those scriptures as a testimony to his son.
