The Catholic Church Provides Confidence, Right?
The bible is not an instruction manual for a church still in shrink rap, that we have to then go ahead and put together right? I think that's how many protestants view the bible. And so it's a beautiful thing that god has revealed truths that we need to know for our salvation - but he has also seen to it that we can have certainty of those truths. So what do you do about the dispute between the roman catholic tradition and the eastern orthodox tradition? That doesn't seem like we've got some kind of divine revelation on which church is the true church. i think ultimately, ito, i think we do.
