The Impact of YouTube's Cuts on Logan Paul
On January 10, 2017, YouTube made the major decision to cut all business ties with Logan Paul. That meant that his channel was removed from their Google preferred program where brands can sell ads to YouTube's top 5% of creators. All YouTube originals, which is essentially their higher budget, professionally funded paper play videos on the platform had been put on hold with Logan. He then soft launch his comeback with a suicide awareness video. In that video he spoke frankly about what people could do to support their friends if they suspect they were struggling and also pledged to donate $1 million to various suicide prevention organizations.
