Gas Tax Day
The president called on congress to pass legislation that would suspend the federal gas tax for 90 days. Pull numbers show gas prices and inflation as the top issue for many voters ahead of the mid terms. The proposal, which would suspend the 18 cent per gallon tax, is being met with a mixed reaction left and right. Even leaders of the president's own party are sceptical.
