Tucker Carlson's Disappearance From Fox News
Dominion sued Fox for defamation which is illegal lying. The Supreme Court in a case called New York Times versus Sullivan said that if we're talking about public figures you have to be even less careful because of the Civil Rights Movement. That actual malice standard that you knew something was false and you said it anyway really protects entities like Fox News in these lawsuits. We don't want public figures being able to quash any criticism of them because it wasn't a perfect factual statement at all times.
