Suffering is connected to glory, because suffering exposes what is real and what is counterfeit. With time, some can rise above their suffering and actually see others through the lens of their own pain. And then their pain can then be re purposed into compassion toward other people. So there's a kind of ympathy within suffering when it brought to god.
