Taking initiative is basically deciding to be the person who takes action in a situation. You can't just sit back and be passive, as an examiner would do if you were taking part in a speaking exam. It's trying to develop a virtuous circle, rather than a vicious circle, in your language learning. The liste, listeners are not, luke, the listeners won't like that. If you compare talking on the podcast to doing a pooh, they're not going to like that. That's going to turn them off. But er anyway, so confidence issues, taking initiative, that's what i was talking about. What does that mean?
