The Demons of Density
Cities have been dealing with these downsides for thousands of years. Some neighbourhoods are much more likely to create children who end up being in jail when they're there adults. And it comes in part from the social isolation that children often experience in cities. America really has to figure out a way so that its cities can be both safe from crime and where young people, especially young people of color, can wander the streets without being harassed by the police. This is essentially good management of the demons of density.
