The Jurors Didn't Like Cody's Story
The crown prosecutor, joseph temple, established cody's history of lying to investigators and continuously changing his story when he felt backed into a corner. Cody was unable to identify with the feelings that a normal person would have after witnessing, let alone being the petrator of murders as heinous as these. This fact did not go unnoticed with the jury. The crown suggested that natacha's body had never been found because cody dismembered her body in his apartment to make disposal easier.
