Is It Worth the R&D Investment?

There are a lot of design trades happening at these different companies. The market hasn't necessarily consolidated into one best aircraft, right? And so really the ability to shift your power system around the aircraft in different phases of flight unlocks a lot of really interesting opportunities. It sort of comes down to, okay, what is the exact mission happening here? Is it worth the R&D investment if that exists in order to get the best performance out of this mission?
