Do Fed Rates Really Price Inflation?
Do you have a sense of how high the fed can go? Do you think they could end up raising rates to five, six %. And just going back to inflation bonds or tips, another thing that often comes up is, do they really price inflation or not? Or are there other factors that influence the price of tips? So yas a specialist, what would you say? I think they certainly do price inflation. But i think it prices it on a much more micro, short term outlook than people like to yonot assume when they look at some of the rates ambedded in tips.
