Is Automation a Good Use for Humans?

When we talk about automation, we should focus on the specific things that we are trying to achieve by having a machine either facilitate or augment or replace what the human is doing. And there are certain situations where a machine can do things that is very helpful. If I can save an hour or two a day, you know, I can gain that hour or two day back, maybe doing interviews or something else in the process.
