Bob Yiddons were able to buy passage overseas, they were able to raise their standard of living and it ended up causing a labor shortage that led to conflict. After shipwreck off the island in 1915, the island manager went to check out what was going on with the salvagen but he caught a bunch of Bob Yiddons salvaging for their own profit instead of his profits. And so in retaliation, for him trying to stop them from salvaging for themselves, the Bob Yiddon put his boat and his wagon. The governor of Antigua started to impose these previously unenforced rents on cultivated plots. He wanted to charge like five shillings per acre per year
