Mnemonics and Analogies Are They the Same Thing?
Matt: I've always been reluctant to use pneumonics because you're sort of making an arbitrary connection between between something in your mind that isn't necessarily related in any semantic or meaningful way to something in the target domain. Matt: Mnemonics is kind of building these arbitrary categories we're putting things together then we bundle up them together and now when you when you recall the familiar thing like some image then that's that concept category activates and now you remember the related thing yeah so mnemonics relies on imagery which is much more stable in the mind than you know words but it can act as a mnemonic aid just by being creative and linking them in sort of nonsensical or trivial
