Iranian-Russian Relations - What's Happening Between Russia and Iran?
It's not clear to me, and I'm not even sure it's clear to the Iranians at the moment what they get out of this relationship. There has been some speculation that Iran might possibly be seeking Russian nuclear expertise or Russian technology. The Iranian mindset seems to be very much one which is dead keen on embarrassing the West,. If they believe that sending drones and possibly ballistic missiles to Russia will contribute to humiliation for the West, that may be enough for them.
