The Congolese Government Says, I Will Not Sue Legal Action Against Glencore Anymore
CNN's John Defterios says he was surprised that no one in Washington, London or Paris said anything about the Glencore deal. The Chinese ambassador to DRC left his post this week and we don't know where he'll be going; what do you think of him? He points out that U.S., European officials are quick to single out the Chinese for their role in Ghana's debt problems even though they account for just 3% of public debt. But when it comes to Euro bond debt, which is significantly higher, these arguments simply lack credibility according to Defterios.
