The End of the Public Health Emergency
HHS will no longer have the authority to require that all laboratory testing for COVID-19 be reported. Hospitalization reporting requirements will change from daily required reporting to weekly required reporting. The requirement for private insurance companies to cover CO VID-19 tests without cost sharing for both rapid antigen and PCR test ended at end of public health emergency.
