TypeScript is helping me just save micro amounts of time and brain power. I'm having to use less decision fatigue to make the decisions that I'm making because my editor is just helping me. If you're converting from JS to TS, you cannot do it all at once. So you'll want to start with a loud JS set to be true. And then personally, I would recommend setting strict to not be true at first because it can be a bit overwhelming when you set strict to true.
In this episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk about their respective processes for converting JavaScript to TypeScript in their projects, why you might want to, and tooling for moving to TypeScript.
