The Importance of Recursive Self-Improvement
AI could carry out a process of recursive self-improvement that gives you some sort of singularity where the people coming up with this labrogmenting technology are robots. That makes them more productive for them, they themselves are better at developing further advances in tech and so on. And although this is true for human researchers as well, but it can sort of proceed more quickly with robots in part because the robots themselves can accumulate in a way that the people can't.
