The Role of the Sorceress in the War With the Jinn

Ahmed's genie wife was powerful, but she wasn't hostile. The sorceress had no doubt that the genie had forbidden Ahmed from telling the sultan anything about her. She wanted to see how far the sultan would take things with his request for a tent which could hold an entire army and water from the fountain of lions. There was nothing magical about getting the water. It was just a matter of distracting the large, full-grown male lions with a quartered sheep dangling off a terrified, sacrificial horse.
