It seems most likely that Egyptians were the first to domesticate cats. So they worshipped cats. Our cats were venerated. There was a goddess. Who was that? That was Bast, or Bastet? You know anything about her? She was the... Yeah, she's being worshipped. It seemed like Egyptians have cottoned on the cats well before they actually had them living in their homes. Maybe there were some cats running around in Egypt that were not living in people's houses, but still we're keeping the rats at bay. Cats keep the rats in vain. I see. And what do you need to have lots of extra food? You have to have cats.
