Bronze Artwork in the Shang Domain
In the 19 eighties, archaeologists discovered remains of a large city in what's now zichan. This massive archaeological find included two sacrificial pits that contained hundreds of bronze and jade objects. They are distinctly different from the ones found at an yang in the shang kingdom. What sets them apart is that they include many human figures, which one really does not see hardly at all in shang art. There have also been other finds of bronze art work in other outlying areas,. probably dating from about the 11 hundred and 12 hundred b c.
