Is the Police Going on Strike?
Roland Fryer has done a study of the impact of federal investigations of local police departments on crime. He finds that if there is a viral incident involving a police shooting and or killing then that triggers a response of federal investigation, it leads to higher crime in subsequent months and years. Roland: Police being investigated withdrawn pullback and don't have as much encounter with citizens doing kinds of things that would prevent crime from taking place because they think no one has their back like your father says.
