Jouran Vanderslope's Confession

Dutch crime reporter Peter Devres claimed he had a video of Jouran Vanderslope confessing to her murder and would soon be broadcasting it on Dutch television. The footage aired on Sunday February 3, 2008. Seven million Dutch citizens, almost half the population, tuned in to watch. A Ruba prosecutor attempted to use the video confession to have Jouran re-arrested but the request was denied by a judge as Jouran alleging it made the whole story up.
