The Importance of Incomplete Contributions
Gareth's father Trifor died of lung cancer during the lockdown. His wife Helen gave birth to their third son a few months before first lockdown. Lockdown meant that his parents weren't able to support us as they had when our other children were babies. The challenges of COVID were compounded when my father, Trifor, became unwell and was admitted to hospital. He hadn't long started listening to the podcast when the episode with the right honorable, subenerable Martin Lewis aired. I wondered if we could top up some of her years with incomplete contributions. For just over a grand worked out that we could add almost £2,000 per annum to her pension.
