I don't think it leads to a massively different outcome state by state. If you transported some of the approaches in Iowa or in New Hampshire into some of the later states in California and Texas, I don't think you'd see a massive difference. What you're seeing is the history of the evolution of America as a political state. Chris: It does seem extraordinary that these two states, Iowa and New Hampshire, should have so much attention. And Iowa politics does look quite polarized at the moment. Does this make it different?
