The Complexity of Social Media

I think it's much more complex than that. I think a lot of people who are using social media, whether it's Tumblr or whether it's Instagram, are more taking ownership of self. So they are maybe people who are on the peripheries of the social norm, say. A man with depression, a young boy who was going through gender questions and had come out as transgender. These are people that we might not have heard from before. Because they're famous for being famous, which is the interesting thing.
