The Submarine Squalice Is Flooding
Electrician, Lawrence Gaynor jumps off the ladder leading down into the forward battery compartment. He's 40 years old and has worked in submarines half his life. All the electrical equipment in the sub is connected. If they get flooded with water while they're still connected, they'll short out and explode. That could blow a hole through the hull of the sub and drown everyone on board.
