AI Safety and Governance in China

Number of organizations doing potentially promising work on AI safety and governance in China appears to have increased since we published our earlier guide. Political leaders in China and the US diverge on a number of ideas about governance, values, and legitimate uses of technology. Sets of principles for AI development published by BAAI and by China's National New Generation Artificial Intelligence Governance Expert Committee have considerable similarities with the Asilomai AI principles.
