The Three Strong Cultures of First Generation Kids

I know a lot of first generation kids sometimes struggle with feeling like they don't want to accept their heritage. Did you ever find yourself wanting to be more, be more fit into more one culture than the other or? Yeah. There were definitely different times because my mom put me in this private school that was predominantly white so that I could go to the school. But then the older I got the more that just like went away. And I found a community of a lot of different like first generation Africans through church and sports. We became super close. Even though they weren't Ethiopian or they didn't go to the same schools or whatever, it was just, oh, we share that thing
