What Is Memory Reconsolidation?

The idea of memory reconsolidation focuses on these kinds of learnings, but in a way that they can actually become updated. So if we experience something in the present moment that is some kind of a juxtaposition or experiential mismatches with our self images, then what happens is that structural memory shifts into a malleable state. It's not only operable in humans, but they've done all kinds of research with all kinds of animals, including things like crabs and a variety of things. This helps us to understand how transformation can actually be sustained in some sense.
