In your work do you mainly look at current places? Do you go back through older sources as well to find those names that are perhaps lost to us now that we're not using any moreye s, a bit of both involvedrilly. i think i initially started with the english place name society volumes. They are comprehensive records of the names and looking back at the very earliest forms of them. So it's a nice collection. It is a good place to go if you want to look at place names, and you get to see the early forms. Lot of the earliest forms are from the doomsday book, very invaluable source,.
