It's usually not enough protein, not enough calories. It can be carbs too though for an example. The classic example of that is what happened in the CrossFit community when it was heavy into paleo and you have a lot of these athletes that are training at such high work volume. Their body just was not operating and they were not responding because they weren't fueling their body with enough carbohydrates. But I would say most common for me was enough protein.
