i think one of the things that is true of human nature is that we we need to believe something. And because we are a cognitive species, we need to have policies and principles to guide our our actions as well. So unless you are a paid philosopher or a paid intellectual whose job it is to think about sceptical arguments and develop them, it's almost impossible for most people to live in real scepticism for very long. Then it becomes a matter of who picks up these tools and what agendas they have already happen to have, that they put them in the service of their own agenda.
