The Relationship Between Farm Size and Productivity

There is no simple relationship between size and productivity. In high income countries, bigger is clearly better. But there in a different world, where farms are really tiny, then it's clear that if you have a three acre farm and somebody offers the opportunity to sell you another acre,. your productivity is going to go down. That we see this inverse relationship in low income countries over the world.
