The Importance of Having a Backup Plan

As a parent, you just want your children to be able to have a nice life. And acting is definitely able to provide you with a nice life, but it won't necessarily do so. There isn't a security you can depend upon. So I think it's probably sensible to have some other options. For my parents that weren't precedents around us - we didn't know anyone who'd been an actor and managed to have a life. They were right, they're going to go, this sounds like quite a precarious profession. You might want to have a backup plan.
