CHAPTER

The Plastics Age

Williams is reporting from Scapper Beach in Scotland. The group imagine a future catastrophe which melts a layer of plastic into the geological record, leaving only a few isolated objects. We decide that those future museum curators might identify them as symbols of high status and perhaps carried by a king or a queen. Next week we're going to be coming to you live from the Braemar Mountain Festival. There's all sorts going to be happening up there next weekend from historical walks, women's winter mountain skills and something called snow running.
