The History of the GPU

Andrew Keen: We saw the rise of AI and we got it rolled a hundred ways. But what we got right was that in 2016, AI was utterly unimportant in the economy and that it would be enormously important. And we saw that deep learning in particular is constructed in a way founded on sparse linear algebra and that the GPU wasn't the perfect machine for that. That's why we are special sauce is around the moving of data and that keeping it in one location on the way.
