Event Models in JavaScript

Event models have been around a long time. I think there's a class of people who think that event is the solutions are basically the only way to get good concurrency. And as people probably know, the Reddit systems actually work out okay. But it's not obvious that just because it makes sense when you're talking about responding to user events that that is also the correct way to do concurrent programming.
