Are We Really Going to Trust Bernard to Wire That Same Power?

Bernard is basicly the new rohoboum slash solomon, doing essentially exactly what sera was attempting to do last season. So why do we all get on board with this concept being evil and now we're gung ho for bernard to wield that same power? Is it as simple as it's now in the hands of a protagonist we care about? Do we inherently not trust sir rac last season duet what the show told us about him? But we don't actually know what his motive are entirely benevolent. He learned a lot that likely changed some his views on humanity while reviewing potential fates for the real world.
