Planning in a Democracy
There is a very technical aspect to planning like it's literally an arithmetic exercise on what are the total number of resources. A consequence for India seems to be a tremendous centralization of power in the office of the prime minister and a sort of weakening of the cabinet. This goes back to Hayek says that you can't have planning in a democracy because this can't be done by consensusYou need to have a plan and everyone needs to agree to that plan.
