Fortuan started off as a message board for fans of anima, japanese animation. Over the years it evolved from a sight dicated to anima into an anarchic meam factory. The way fochan works is a bit like any other social mediosite, facebook, twitter - except that you don't have to enter a use name. So posts come up as anonymous, and posters are known as anons.
