What's the Value of a Left-Wing Community?

There's no real sense of proportionality in these discussions. I think there is some value to just exposing people to ideas that they might not have found otherwise. The positive purpose of mass media that looks at things from the left is trying to communicate with folks who are not going to sit down and do a whole bunch of reading on the history and politics, but whose hearts are in the right place. So yeah, I would say those are the two value propositions.
