Why Do You Care About Eschatology?

It took a year or two for me to hit a massive crisis of faith, where i said, you know, thits, screw it all. I was like, if that guy's right, and i'm just been duped, like this whole thing. So when we talk about the gospel, i don't see how we can talk about it outside of its escatological consummation elements of it. And furthermore, i think one of the reasons why so many people fall away and have such short lived experiences in following the messiah is largely stems from the fact that they don't actually connect with the gospel as it is.
