Bryn Putnam is a former professional ballet dancer who went on to open what would become a chain of boutique fitness studios in New York under the brand refined method. She leapt into a second business launching mirror, a home fitness startup that is literally a mirrored screen that's four feet by two feet. Mir can stream all kinds of things to owners from Pilates classes to yoga to kickboxing to even on demand and live meditation classes. The company sold at this past June for $500 million in cash with just $50 million held back as an earn-out payment over two years.
