One of the objections i've heard often is, it's the easy way out. I do think you have to come up with some kind of model about what happened before the big bang. And if you create a model that has some other time limited entity, and that's just when ours bubbled out, you still haven't explained how anything got there. Unless there is a creative force that is not limited by space or by time, because all our arguments are always stuck on this linear axis of time.
