Use modal verbs to make your request polite, as polite as possible. Another another couple of terms that you could use is, i believe, or i think. It's really important that you know what you're complaining about and you know that you've made the right decision to complain in the first place. Those can be really helpful to kind of show a little bit of humility, which people always appreciate.
