How to Transition to a Product Manager at a Startup

The next thing you could do is having a conversation with either your engineering manager or with your CEO if you're at a small company. It may take a year or two as the team grows, and then they need a product manager. You're the perfect fit. Again, it could be something of a transition time. But it's definitely worth thinking about because again, in both my companies and even now, I can see that transition happening quite easily but expect pushback.
